Private Trading Group

QG SherwoodStrategy. Discipline. Performance.

A private trading group built on methodology, discipline and consistency. Performance is the consequence. Process is the foundation.

Strategy · Discipline · Performance

01Philosophy

Process over impulse.

We are not built around the pursuit of profit at any cost. We are built around a process designed to produce better decisions — consistently. We judge ourselves by the parts of the outcome we can actually control: preparation, sizing, behavior and review.

  • Process before outcome

A good result from a bad process is a warning, not a success.

  • Consistency before intensity

A standard kept every day is worth more than a brilliant exception.

  • Risk before opportunity

Limits are set in calm conditions and respected in volatile ones.

Markets reward patience unevenly and punish impatience reliably.

02The Sherwood Method

One method, applied in sequence.

The sequence is the method. Skipping a step is treated as a process failure regardless of the outcome.

  1. Step 01ReadUnderstand context before acting.
  2. Step 02PlanDefine scenarios, invalidation and risk before execution.
  3. Step 03ExecuteAct according to the plan rather than emotion.
  4. Step 04ReviewStudy decisions, execution and outcomes to improve continuously.

03Learning & Development

Learning is part of the operation.

QG Sherwood is built around continuous development. Members improve by working inside a shared methodology: observing, preparing, executing to a standard and bringing every decision to review.

The invitation is not necessarily the beginning of the relationship. In many cases, it follows a period of learning, mentoring and demonstrated alignment with the methodology.

For many members, that development begins through direct mentoring with founding partner Gui, with emphasis on market reading, preparation, execution, review and consistency — not shortcuts or signals.

There are no shortcuts, no promises and no substitute for preparation.

QG Sherwood itself does not operate as a public course, signals service or open training program.

How members develop

  1. 01

    Shared methodology

One framework and one vocabulary for the whole group.

  2. 02

    Observation

Watching how context is read and how decisions are prepared.

  3. 03

    Structured market reading

    Context first, opinion second.

  4. 04

    Preparation

Scenarios, invalidation and risk written down before acting.

  5. 05

    Execution standards

The plan is followed, and every deviation is documented.

  6. 06

    Review

Process and outcome examined separately, cycle after cycle.

  7. 07

    Discussion

Decisions are explained and questioned among members.

  8. 08

    Disciplined repetition

The same standard, kept until it becomes habit.

04The QG Environment

Opportunity follows alignment.

QG Sherwood is deliberately small. Its structure protects the method from any single individual and keeps the same standard for every member, founders included.

Invitations generally emerge from demonstrated development and familiarity with the methodology, rather than from unsolicited applications.

As members demonstrate understanding of the methodology, disciplined execution, consistency and respect for risk, selected individuals may be invited to participate more closely in QG Sherwood's operating environment.

Nothing is automatic and nothing is guaranteed.

  • Founding partnersThe founding partners lead the group, set its standards and hold final responsibility for governance.
  • 02MembersMembers are invited personally, typically from people whose development and alignment with the QG methodology are already known to the group. Each commits to the method, the operating principles, the review cadence and the confidentiality of the group, and to their own continuous development within it.
  • 03GovernanceDecision rights, review roles and escalation paths are documented. Disagreements are resolved through the framework, not through seniority.
  • 04CadenceReviews run on a fixed schedule. The framework is revised deliberately, in writing, and versioned.

05Heritage

The origin of a name.

Sherwood is a reference to origin and internal culture: a small circle, a shared code and a long-term view. The crest stands for that code. It is a symbol, not a slogan.

06Sherwood Institute

Purpose beyond the market.

What we build in the market begins with discipline. What we build beyond it begins with purpose.

Sherwood Institute is a separate social-impact initiative created by the founders of QG Sherwood, focused on expanding opportunity and helping build stronger futures for children facing difficult circumstances.

Sherwood Institute is separate from QG Sherwood, with its own identity and purpose.
